This Privacy Policy describes how EightThirty Trading Ventures LLC ("EightThirty," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the EightThirty software, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the Service:
From your purchase: - Email address - Name (optional) - Billing address (collected by Stripe; we do not see full card numbers) - Stripe customer ID and subscription ID
From your use of the Service: - License key (assigned to you on purchase) - Machine identifier (a hashed ID derived from your computer; we do not collect serial numbers, your username, or contents of your computer) - License verification timestamps - IP address (logged with each license check for abuse detection) - Bot version
What we DO NOT collect or store: - Your TopstepX JWT - Your trading credentials - Your trades, orders, or positions - Your TopstepX account balance, P&L, or other financial data - The contents of any files on your computer - Your keystrokes, screen, or browsing history
Your TopstepX credentials and trading data stay on your local computer at all times.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Process payments through Stripe
- Verify the validity of your license
- Detect and prevent abuse (e.g., license sharing, fraud)
- Send transactional emails (license delivery, payment receipts, service notifications)
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

- Resend (email delivery): https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
We share with these providers only the information necessary for them to deliver their service to us.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and license information while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. License verification logs are retained for up to 24 months for abuse-detection purposes.
You may request deletion of your data by emailing support@eightythirty.org at any time. Deletion may take up to 30 days. We may retain certain information as required by law (e.g., tax records).
5. Security
We use commercially reasonable security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure database hosting, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that you transmit information to us at your own risk.
6. Your Choices
- Email: You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails by clicking unsubscribe. Transactional emails (receipts, license updates) cannot be opted out of while your subscription is active.
- Account closure: You may cancel your subscription at any time. See our Terms of Service for details.
- Data access: You may request a copy of your data by emailing support.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you consent to your information being processed in the U.S.
9. California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may give you additional rights:
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to request deletion
- Right to opt out of "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
